When Ulrich Welker (4th generation) arrived in Lymington in the 1970’s  from his native Germany (having married Lymington born Jenny and  then decided to join the family business) he brought with him an at the time unrivalled knowledge of the co-ordinated Ladies Fashion designers and manufacturers establishing themselves throughout Europe.  His decision to start importing new Ladieswear collections revolutionised Elliotts.  To this day his philosophy of stocking collections of the highest quality and design remains and Elliotts are renowned for their selection of Ladies Fashion and Footwear for any occasion.

Our Brands

Abro

Abro was founded by the grandparents of today’s directors back in the 1930’s. They started with a small belt factory in Rodgau and soon supplemented the product range by high quality leather handbags. In the 1950’s the second generation joined abro and contributed to the constant growth of the company.

Today abro produces ladies’ handbags, belts, shoes and other accessories, with a special focus on the combination of fashion, function, and quality.
